what is somatic
HEALING?
My sessions offer a space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and explore the deeper emotional patterns that shape how you move through the world. This is therapy for the parts of you that feel stuck, numb, overwhelmed, or like you're repeating the same relational dynamics—whether or not you can explain why.
Together we work with:
Chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout
Life transitions, grief, and loss
Relational patterns and boundary confusion
Inner critic, self-sabotage, and emotional disconnection
Integration after expanded state experiences (e.g., ketamine, psychedelics, breathwork)
Through a blend of somatic tracking, emotional processing, and nervous system education, our work helps you become more present with yourself—not to fix what’s wrong, but to make space for what’s been unmet.
You’ve been searching for an alternative to talk therapy, and somatic healing offers the solution.
does this sound like you?
✓ You’ve done the work—but still feel stuck. You’ve read the books, tried traditional therapy, maybe even explored energy work or spiritual paths. But something still isn’t fully clicking. You’re ready for support that meets you where you actually are.
✓ You’re sensitive, intuitive, or deeply self-aware: You process the world deeply. You might resonate with being an empath, a cycle-breaker, or someone who’s always felt “different”—and you're looking for a space that honors that, not pathologizes it.
✓ You want a holistic, grounded approach.: You know real healing isn’t just mindset work or coping tools—it’s body, energy, trauma, and integration. You want to work with someone who can hold all of that with you.
✓ You’re done with surface-level fixes: You’re not here for a diagnosis and a worksheet—you want practical tools, honest reflection, and support that actually helps you shift long-standing patterns.

Holistic Approach
Address the root causes of pain and trauma by weaving together trauma-informed therapy, somatic healing, energy healing, yoga therapy, mindfulness and meditation, psychedelic integration therapy, nutritional guidance, hypnotherapy, and shamanic work
Integration Focused
My work focuses on helping clients apply what they learn during our sessions to their everyday lives. By offering guidance, practical tools, and ongoing support, I help individuals sustain their growth and healing long after our sessions so that healing is carried forward into everyday life."
Trauma Informed
Being truly trauma-informed means understanding that no two experiences of trauma are alike. It requires adapting each healing approach to honor the unique needs and boundaries of every individual, rather than applying a 'one-size-fits-all' model.
KETAMINE INFUSIONS IN ANACORTES, WA
Ketamine Infusions & Integration
Ketamine has been increasingly prescribed as an off-label treatment for various chronic treatment-resistant mental health conditions, such as depression, alcohol and other substance dependencies, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other psychiatric diagnoses. It is distinguished from other psychotropic medications by its rapid onset, often producing transient relief in as soon as a few hours.
SOMATIC THERAPY IN ANACORTES, WASHINGTON
Somatic Therapy
Somatic has become a bit of a buzzword these days, so let’s break it down. In my work, I combine self-inquiry with solution-focused, talk-based therapies. True somatic work isn’t just about touch—it’s about creating a deeper connection between your mind and body.
I have a knack for helping you decipher the messages, symbols, and language of your body, turning them into insights you can interpret, learn from, and grow with.
SHAMANIC HEALING IN ANACORTES, WASHINGTON
Shamanic Healing
Coming from a long line of healers, I was naturally gifted with abilities that allow me to be a bridge between the spiritual and physical worlds. While I’ve received formal training in shamanic practices, my true strengths lie in land and house clearings, mentoring those with psychic gifts, teaching spiritual practices, and holding space for plant medicine ceremonies.

My Approach
We listen to the body. We name the patterns. We build something new.
In sessions, we explore what’s showing up in your body, your nervous system, and your relationships—not just your thoughts.
In our sessions, we track patterns that keep you stuck: the shutdowns, the spirals, the habits that once kept you safe but no longer serve you. We make space for the parts of you that are exhausted from surviving and unsure how to rest.
You’ll leave sessions with more than insight—you’ll have practical tools to regulate your body, shift emotional responses, and respond differently in real-life situations. This work builds clarity, capacity, and self-trust over time.
This is deep work—but it’s not about pushing. It’s about learning how to meet yourself in a way that actually helps you move forward.

Nicole Anzaldua
I’m a trauma-informed practitioner with over 15 years of experience in somatic psychology, somatic healing, yoga therapy, and spiritual traditions like shamanism and animism. I help sensitive, intuitive, and self-aware people who are tired of one-size-fits-all solutions finally feel seen—not just managed.
My approach blends ancient wisdom with modern nervous system science, helping you understand the why behind your patterns and reconnect with the parts of you that got left behind in survival.
Whether you’ve been misdiagnosed, misunderstood, or just missed by the systems you’ve turned to—I offer something different:
A space that honors your mind, body, and spirit.
A path back to yourself that’s honest, embodied, and sustainable.
This work is deep. But if you’re ready to meet yourself fully—I’m here.

I’m not a licensed therapist, and I don’t offer therapy. Instead, I provide holistic, body-based support that complements other forms of care. Many of the people I work with have already done years of traditional talk therapy. They’ve gained insight—but still feel stuck.
What makes my work different is that we don’t just talk about your experiences—we explore how they live in your body, how they influence your patterns, and how your nervous system may have adapted in response.
In our sessions, we take a different approach. We slow down and get curious about what your body is holding. I guide you through somatic healing tools, nervous system regulation practices, trauma-informed yoga, and intuitive energy work—supporting you as you reconnect with yourself.
This work isn’t about treatment or diagnosis. It’s about creating space for your own awareness, your own growth, and your own inner healing process.
-
Every session starts with where you are—not where a treatment plan says you should be.
Some days, you might come in with a heavy emotion sitting in your chest. Other times, you might be in problem-solving mode, needing clarity. I don’t expect you to show up a certain way.I listen closely—to your words, your body, your energy—and together we follow what’s most alive in the moment. Whether we’re using somatic inquiry, parts work, or grounding tools, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful.
There’s no script here. We co-create the process based on what’s real for you that day.

Clients often tell me they feel more like themselves again—sometimes for the first time in years.
They begin to respond instead of react. Set boundaries without guilt. Trust their intuition.
They stop overexplaining, overfunctioning, or carrying responsibility that was never theirs to hold. What you might notice in your own journey is a growing sense of calm in your body, more clarity in your decisions, and a softening of the inner critic that’s been running the show. You may still have hard days—but you’ll move through them with more tools, more awareness, and more choice.
The work we do isn’t about fixing you—it’s about reconnecting you with who you’ve always been underneath the survival strategies.
-
Each session is different, because you are different from week to week—and I meet you where you are.
But here’s what you can generally expect:
We’ll begin by checking in—what’s present for you today, what’s alive in your body, or what’s been lingering since our last session. Sometimes there’s a clear theme; other times, it’s a vague sense of unease, grief, or feeling “stuck.” All of it is welcome.
From there, we might explore:
What your nervous system is doing in the moment (fight, flight, freeze, etc.)
How a current challenge connects to old patterns, beliefs, or relational dynamics
Where a feeling lives in your body—and how to be with it differently
Tools for self-regulation, boundary setting, or compassionate reflection
Meaning-making from expanded state experiences (if relevant)
We may sit in silence, breathe together, get curious about an image or sensation, or name something you’ve never said out loud before. Sometimes you leave feeling lighter, sometimes more stirred—but always more connected to yourself.
You won’t be pushed. You won’t be analyzed. You’ll be met—with presence, respect, and care.
